Born and lived at Staveley, Derbyshire. Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Shooter, of 3, Mill Houses, Staveley, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Husband of Florence Shooter. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He was killed in action, on 26th May 1917, whilst serving in the Black Line, near Arras, France.
Buried: Fampoux British Cemetery, France. Row A. Grave 48.
