Private William Henry Lindley

Born at Nottingham and lived at 20 Commercial Street, Lenton, Nottingham. Son of John Cyrus George Henry Marriott and Selina Eleanor Lindley, of 4, Snowton Terrace, Spring Close, Old Lenton, Nottingham. He was a gas fitter and electrician for Bromsdown Lamp Works prior to enlisting, 12th May 1912 at Nottingham. He went to France 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, 22nd September 1916, aged 19, during the German shelling of the British line at Verbrandenmolen, Belgium.
Buried: Chester Farm Cemetery, Belgium.
