Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of Thomas and Alice Holland, (formerly Kent) of 19, Cambridge Street, Radford, Nottinghamshire. Husband of Elizabeth R. Kent. He was a leather dresser prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France on 18th August 1915 and was killed in action, 28th September 1917, whilst in the line near Wieltje, Belgium.
