Born at Nottingham and lived at 73, Norton Street, Radford, Nottingham. Son of Thomas and Selina Johnson, of 20, Wimbourne Road, Radford, Nottinghamshire. He was a jacquard puncher prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 16th September 1917, aged 21, during the attack near Zillebeke, Belgium.
