Private Sam Harry Goodall

Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Middleton-by-Wirksworth, Derbyshire. Son of John and Georgiana Goodall, of The Green, Middleton-by-Wirksworth. He was a cotton factory packer prior to enlisting at Wirksworth. He died of wounds on 16th September 1917, aged 21.

Commemorated: Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Panel 99 to 102 and 162 to 162A.
