British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Bulwell, Nottinghamshire. Son of William and Faith Deverill, of 3 Council Place, Stockwell Street, Bulwell, Nottinghamshire. Was a bleacher. He enlisted at Nottingham 22nd May 1915, went to France 6th March 1916 and was killed in action, 12th July 1916, during a raid on German trenches at Ferme-de-Bois, France, by a shell burst.
