Battalion : 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Son of Enock and Myrah Clarke, of 48 Morven Street, Creswell, Derbyshire. he enlisted at Worksop, Nottinghamshire and went to France 16th March 1916 and was killed in action, 9th August 1916, during a gas attack near areas whilst with the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
