Private William Cheetham

Battalion : 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Milford Derbyshire. Son of William and Ann Cheetham of 17 Sunny Hill, Milford, Derbyshire. He was a draper’s assistant prior to enlisting at Derby. He was killed in action during the attack on three lines of German trenches, to the west of Oppy, France.

Died : 27th August 1918.

Buried : Orchard Dump Cemetery, Arleux-En-Gohelle, France. Plot 6, Row D, Grave 27.
