Son of William and Louisa Buxton, of Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Husband of Sarah Rebecca Buxton, of 39 Factory Yard, Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. He was a coal miner and enlisted 16th June 1915 at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He died on 18th September 1915. age 37 at Wollaton Park Camp suffering a heart attack.
