Lance Corporal Charles Burton

Battalion: 4th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Westwood, Nottinghamshire. Son of Edgar and Jane Burton, of New Westwood. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting. He went to France on 19th May 1915 and was discharged no longer fit for active service on 13th September 1915 suffering from myalgia. He died on 29th March 1921, aged 37.
Buried: Westwood (St. Mary) Churchyard, Selston, United Kingdom. Near West End.
