Private William Burnett

Battalion: 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of Thomas and Mary Burnett, of 60, Blue Bell Hill, Nottingham. He was a printer prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 1st July 1916, during the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
