Born and lived in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Son of John Henry and Sarah Ann Bryan, of 94 Beacon Hill Road, Newark. Husband of Daisy Bryan, of 45, Bottom Row, Beacon Hill, Newark. He was a general labourer prior to enlisting at Newark. He died of wounds, 2nd November 1917, aged 31.
