Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of William and Lizzie Brown, of 9, Saxon Place, Alfred Street, Nottingham. He was a bookbinder prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 26th September 1917, aged 23, during the attack near Vlamertinghe, Belgium.
