Private John Brindley

Battalion : 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of John William and Phoebe Brindley, of 55, Sherwood Street, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. He was a billiard marker prior to enlisting at Newark, Nottinghamshire. He went to France 2nd March 1915 and was killed in action, 29th April 1915, aged 22, whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
