Born at Whittington, Derbyshire and lived at Brimington, Derbyshire. Son of William and Almina Bradshaw, of 3 Station Road, Brimington, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Chesterfield and he went to France on 8th September 1914 and was killed in action on 20th October 1914, aged 19, when the battalion held position south-east of Bois Grenier, Ennetieres/Escobecques, France against a German attack.
