Husband of Emily Bickley, of 281, Windmill Lane, Nottingham. He was a brickmaker prior to enlisting 5th December 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France 14th July 1915 and was killed in action, 7th July 1916, during the attack on Quadrangle Support near Contalmaison, during the Battle of the Somme.
