Private John Bickley

Battalion: 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Bickley, of 158, Flewitt Street, Nottingham. He was a packing case maker prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 3rd September 1916, aged 24, during the attack on the German positions at Beaumont Hamel, France during the Battle of the Somme.
