Lance Corporal Thomas Allen

Battalion: 2nd Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Derby. Son of John and Elizabeth Allen, of 258, Stockbrook Street, Derby. Enlisted at Derby and was a professional soldier. He served in India and went to France on 11th September 1914. Killed in action 24th September 1915 by German shellfire whilst serving in the trenches near Potijze, Belgium.
