Battalion : 11th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Derby. Son of John and Elizabeth Allen, of 258, Stockbrook Street. Derby. He was a moulder at Messrs G. Fletcher & Co. prior to enlisting at Derby. He went to France on 27th August 1915 and was killed in action, 9th April 1917 during the German attack on Hill 60, Belgium.
