Son of Mr Hyman and Mrs A. Zolowski, of 173, Ilford Lane, Ilford, Essex. He was a lady’s hat trader. He enlisted on 21st March 1916, went to France on 6th July 1916 and was transferred to the Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment on 1st September 1916. He suffered gunshot wounds to his leg on 8th June 1917 and was treated at No. 10 Casualty Clearing Station, at Remy Siding. Was transferred to the 2nd Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, France and transferred to England on 11th June 1917 on Hospital Ship H.S. St. Patrick. Was appointed Lance Corporal on 29th November 1917. Was awarded the M.M. on 19th April 1918, London Gazette on 17th June 1919. He died on 4th November 1918
