Born at Ripley, Derbyshire. Son of Joseph and Mrs. Wyld, of Church Street, Waingroves, Ripley, Derbyshire. He lived at 7 Arches Street, Nottingham and was a framework knitter. He enlisted 7th December 1915 and was killed in action 26th April 1916, whilst attacking 25 North Road and Mount Street Bridge, Dublin, during the Irish rebellion.
