Son of Charles and Emma Winnard, of 37, West Lea Cottages, Clowne, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Went to the Balkans prior to December 1915. Killed in action, 9th August 1915, age 21, in the attack at Ismail Oglu Tepe, (Chocolate Hill), Gallipoli, Turkey.
