Born at Irby, Lincolnshire and lived at Somerby, Lincolnshire. Son of Charles and Annie Elizabeth Wilson, of The Beeches, Burnham, Barton-On-Humber, North Lincolnshire. He was a farm waggoner prior to enlisting at Caistor, Lincolnshire. He was killed in action, 6th February 1917, aged 23, whilst serving in the trenches near Railway Wood, Ypres, Belgium.
