Son of Lieutenant Colonel Caleb Shera Wills, C.B., and Octavia Christina Wills.
He received his commission in September 1914 shortly after the outbreak of war and was promoted to full lieutenant the following December. He was posted to the Dardanelles and was killed in action, aged 21, at Suvla Bay, Gallipoli on 9th August 1915.
