Born at Ilkeston, Derbyhire. Son of William And Elizabeth Whitehead, of Ilkeston; Husband of Sarah Louisa Whitehead, of 87, Manchester Street. Derby. Enlisted at Ilkeston and was was killed in action, 10th October 1916, aged 24, during the attack on the Schwaben Redoubt, near Thiepval, France during the Battle of the Somme.
