Son of George and S. A. Wheeldon, of 6, Cliff Rd., Fairfield, Buxton, Derbyshire. Went to France on 29th December 1916. Killed in action 5th July 1916, aged 21, in support of the attack on the German positions at Fricourt/Fricourt Wood, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
