Son of Major and Mrs Weigall, of 3, Christchurch Road, Winchester. Educated at Bedford and Sandhurst. Went to France on 11th September 1914 with the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby) Regiment. Joined the 1st Battalion in France on 23rd December 1914. Killed in action, 11th March 1915, age 23, whilst advancing through an orchard to occupy some broken-down houses during the Battle of Neuve Chapelle.
