Battalion : 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived in Derby. Son of John and Elizabeth Walker, of 42, Agard Street, Derby. He was a bricklayer prior to enlisting at Derby and he went to France 28th July 1915. He was killed in action, 14th February 1916, aged 27, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the south-east of Ypres, Belgium.
