Born and lived at Rempstone, Nottinghamshire. Son of Richard and Mary Wadkin, of Rempstone, Nottinghamshire. Enlisted at Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Went to France 19th August 1915 and was killed in action 17th June 1916, aged 28.

Buried/Commemorated : Dranoutre Military Cemetery, Belgium. Plot I. Row F. Grave 12.
