Born and lived at Carlton, Nottinghamshire. Son of George and Mary A. Ullyatt, of 4, Back of Cromwell Street, Carlton. He was a brickyard hand prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 18th August 1915 and was killed in action, 7th April 1917, during the attack at Le Verguier, north-west of Saint Quentin, France.
