(Military Cross) 6th Battalion attached Leicestershire Regiment: London Gazette 11.5.1917, When in charge of a torpedo party, although wounded, he remained with his party until the torpedoes were satisfactorily exploded. He carried out splendid reconnaissance work in this area before and for the attack. Killed in Action 17/19.9.1918 in the Holnon Area of Ypres.

Died : 17th September 1917.
