Corporal Arthur John Turpie

Battalion : 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Nottingham. Son of David John and Ruth Turpie. He was a baker prior to enlisting at Derby 19th August 1914 aged 40. Was appointed Corporal 14th August 1915, went to Gallipoli and was killed in action 21st August 1915.
