Lived at 4 Simms Yard, Nottingham. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Turner, of Hallsworth Yard, Cotmanhay, Ilkeston, Derbyshire; Husband of Ada Mellers (formerly Turner), of 3, Careys Place, Coalpit Lane Nottingham.
Killed in action, 14th February 1916, aged 30, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the south-east of Ypres, Belgium.
