Son of Arthur and Mrs. T. Tunnicliffe, of Stanhope Street, Long Eaton, Derbyshire. He lived at 91, Nottingham Road, Long Eaton. He was a lace draftsman prior to enlistment 9th December 1915. He was killed in action, 26th April 1916, during the Irish rebellion, being hit in the back and thigh by rifle fire on Northumberland Road, Dublin.
