Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Joseph and Mary Ann Tunnicliffe, of Green Lane, Clifton, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. He went to France on 4th January 1915 and was killed in action, on 12th March 1915, aged 19, in the German counter-attack and then the British counter-attack during the Battle of Neuve Chapelle, France.
