Son of George and Eliza Truman, of 32, Martin Street, St. Anns Well Road, Nottingham. He went to France on 24th September 1914 aged 27 and was killed in action on 20th October 1914, when the battalion held position south-east of Bois Grenier, Ennetieres/Escobecques, France against a German attack.
