Sergeant James Tomlinson

He was born at Retford, Nottinghamshire. Son of Mr. Joseph W. and Mrs. Ana Tomlinson, of 25, Kirke Street, Retford, Nottinghamshire. Lived at Ivy Cottage, Carolgate, Retford, Nottinghamshire. Was a Policeman. He enlisted at Mansfirld 25th May 1915 and went to France 6th March 1916. He was appointed Corporal 17th June 1915 and Sergeant 24th June 1915. He was killed in action 10th October 1916, age 25.
