Son of Mrs C. Fritchley, of Bown Street, Shirland, Alfreton, Derbyshire. Went to France on 8th September 1914. Killed in action 5th July 1916 aged 22, in the attack on the German positions at La Boisselle, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
