Awards : Military Medal. formerly 2490: 1/8th Battalion: London Gazette 26.4.1917, For gallantry and devotion to duty, on 4th March 1917, when with a party of men, he went to the assistance of a bombing post under heavy fire, and opening fire on the attacking enemy, enabled the post which was holding the trench line in front of La Brayelle Farm, near Essarts to withdraw.

Son of Henry and Sarah Ann Street, of 3, King Street, Mansfield.

Died : 23rd April 1917, age 21.
