Private George Starbuck

Battalion: 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Starbuck, of 3, Hall Street, Sherwood, Nottingham. Mobilized August 1914 and went to France on 25th February 1915. Killed in action, 1st July 1916, aged 31, in the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
