Husband of Edith Spencer, of 11, Catherine St., Mansfield, Notts Was a miner and a member of Mansfield swimming club. Went to France 2nd March 1915. Commissioned 8th December 1916. Killed in action in the attack on the German line at Wieltje, north of Ypres, Belgium, 26th September 1917. Age 36.
