Son of Charles and Elizabeth Smith, of Church Street, Rushden, Northamptonshire. Husband of Emma Jones (formerly Smith), of 7, Town Yard, Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire. He served In The South African Campaign. He went to France on the 8th of September 1914 and was killed in action 28th of November 1914, aged 34.
