Awards : D.C.M. (Distinguished Conduct Medal) London Gazette 3rd June 1915: For gallant conduct at Neuve Chapelle from 10th to 14th March, 1915. When his platoon was surrounded by the enemy he showed a fine example to his men, whom he handled with much ability.

Died : 10th April 1915.
