Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Went to France on 14th July 1915 and was killed in action, on 14th February 1916, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the southeast of Ypres, Belgium.
