Husband of Robina Stevens (Formerly Riley), of 13, Carrington Street, Derby. Served In The South African Campaign. Went to France on 1st March 1915. Killed in action, 1st July 1916, aged 40, in the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme. Awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.
