Son of Frederick and Eliza Raynor, of 23, Queen Street, Old Basford, Nottingham. He was a town labourer prior to enlisting 15th May 1915. He went to France 6th March 1916 and was killed in action, 10th October 1916, aged 25, during the attack on the Schwaben Redoubt, near Thiepval, France during the Battle of the Somme.
