Son of Mary Ann Radford, of 5, New High Street, Fairfield, Buxton, Derbyshire. Went to France on 27th August 1915. Killed in action, 1st July 1916, aged 28, in the attack on the German positions near Ovillers, France during the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
