Son of Thomas and Annie Phillips, of 53, West Street, Wisbech, Cambs.; Husband of Ida Gertrude Phillips, of 49, Lintaine Grove, West Kensington, London. Went to France on 4th November 1914. Killed in action 5th July 1916, aged 25, in the attack on the German positions at La Boisselle, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
