(Served As Phillips). Son of John and Sarah Eliza Phillips-Taylor, of 4, Hardstaff Homes, Priory Road, Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire. Served Six Years In India. He went to France on 8th September 1914 and was killed in action on 20th October 1914, aged 26 when the battalion held position south-east of Bois Grenier, Ennetieres/Escobecques, France against a German attack.
