Born and lived at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of Mrs. Beatrice Bennett, of 42, Victoria St., Warsop, Nottinghamshire. Grandson of Eliza Penford of 36, Portland Street, Mansfield. He was a draper’s errand boy prior to enlisting at Mansfield. He went to France 7th March 1915 and died of wounds 9th October 1918, aged 21.
